PATCH (People Attentive to Children) is Hawaii’s only statewide agency specializing in child care resource and referral services.  PATCH has been helping Hawaii’s families balance work and family responsibilities since 1976.  Its mission is to improve and support both the quality and availability of care for the young people in Hawaii.

PATCH provides parents with information on choosing quality child care, available subsidy programs and referrals to licensed child care programs.  In addition, PATCH offers more than 100 different free or low cost training classes to child care professionals, as well as a scholarship program for those taking college courses focused on early education.
