Greg Chou, Board Vice Chair, BOD Member since 2003

Greg is the newest member appointed to the Board of Directors. The financial advisor recently joins the Board as its 15th member. He presently is the Senior Vice President/Branch Manager of Morgan Stanley's Maui office, and has been with the company for 22 years. More ... 

 Neil Nunokawa, D.D.S., Secretary, BOD Member since 2006

Dr. Nunokawa is a working dentist practicing out of his Wailuku office he established in 1977. He was past president, vice president, and trustee for the Hawaii Dental Association, and past president for the Maui County Dental Society. Outside of his office, Dr. Nunokawa wears another hat as coach for the Wailuku Rainbows Midget football team. In the past he coached the Wailuku Rainbows Pee Wee football team, as well as Wailuku Junior tennis and Baldwin High School tennis programs.

Richard Cameron, Treasurer, BOD Member since 2006; Member of Finance Committe

Richard was born in Puunene and grew up in Spreckelsville. He is the former Publisher of The Maui News and has worked for Maui Land & Pineapple in various positions for over 18 years including Vice President / Property Management and later served on ML&P's board of directors. He is on the board of directors with Haleakala Ranch Co. He is married to Jyl. 

Virgilio “Leo” Agcolicol, BOD Member since 1991; member of Investment Committee & Facilities & Maintenance Committee

Leo has been a Bank Officer with Central Pacific Bank in Kahului for over 35 years and has been involved in many non-profit organizations throughout Maui for decades. Gladys C. Baisa was appointed to J. Walter Cameron Center’s Board of Directors in June 2004.  She participates in several committees, including public relations and fundraising. Teri Freitas Gorman, BOD Member since 2007

Teri Freitas Gorman was the Director of Corporate Communications at the Maui Land & Pineapple Company prior to being promoted to Corporate Vice President.  She was born in Wailuku and is of Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, and Hawaiian ancestry.  Teri earned her BA degree in Film & Television from UCLA.  More ...

Hideo is presently the Manager of Engineering with Alexander & Baldwin Properties, Inc., a company he has been with for 29 years.  He is married to Joyce Kawahara.  

Karlynn Kawahara, BOD Member since 2006

Karlynn Kawahara has served on the Facilities and Maintenance Committee for the Cameron Center since 2003, but her ties with the Center started many years ago, through her grandfather, the late Douglas Sodetani who was President of Cameron Center from 1976 till he passed on in 1996.  More ...

 Alec McBarnet, Jr., BOD Member since 2006, Finance Committee

“Raised barefoot” in Puunene, Alec is the President and CEO of Maui Oil Company, Inc., since 1990.  He worked with Maui Land and Pineapple from 1978 to 1990 and has served as a board member for many non-profit organizations on Maui. Some of the positions he holds include vice president for Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center, treasurer with Hale Makua Home Health Care, and board member with Hui Malama Learning Center.

Priscilla Cabanilla Mikell, BOD Member since 2006; Public Relations Committee & Long Range Planning Committee

Born and raised in Lahaina and currently employed by Kamehameha Schools Maui working as a student internship coordinator, Priscilla is a social worker by training, was an instructor and program director for the Ku‘ina Program at Maui Community College to help at-risk youths and has served as Deputy Director in the County of Maui’s Dept. of Housing & Human Concerns.
