J. Walter Cameron Center installs new officers to its board of directors and appoints Teri Freitas Gorman as a new director

WAILUKU, MAUI, HI --- The J. Walter Cameron Center installed new officers to its Board of Directors at JWCC's annual Board of Directors and Community Council meeting held last Tuesday at the Center. Clyde Murashige was appointed to Chairman of the Board; Greg Chou, Vice Chairman; Dr. Neil Nunokawa, Secretary; and Richard Cameron, Treasurer. Teri Freitas Gorman was also acknowledged and welcomed at the event as a newly-appointed Board Director. She joins the Board as its 15th member.

Murashige, a professional planner, has volunteered six years of service to Cameron Center. He heads the Long Range Planning Committee and is a member of the Finance & Investment Committee, and Personnel Committee. When not wearing the Chairman's hat, Murashige's other role is Senior Vice President of the Real Estate division with Wailea Resort Company, Ltd., and Vice President of Wailea Golf Resort, Inc. (A&B Wailea LLC.)

Serving the Board since 2003, Vice Chairman Chou is a financial advisor and the Senior Vice President/Branch Manager of Morgan Stanley's Maui office. He volunteers his services as head of the Investment Committee and is a member of the Finance Committee, and Long Range Planning Committee.

Dr. Nunokawa, DDS, has been a director since 2006. He practices out of his dental office located in Wailuku. Dr. Nunokawa was past president, vice president, and trustee for the Hawaii Dental Association, and past president for the Maui County Dental Society. He volunteers his services as a member of Cameron Center's Personnel Committee.

Also a director since 2006, newly-appointed Treasurer Richard Cameron volunteers his services as Chair of the Finance Committee. He is a former publisher of The Maui News, worked for Maui Land & Pineapple for over 18 years in various positions including Vice President / Property Management, and later served on ML&P's board of directors.

Gorman, Cameron Center's newly appointed director, is presently the Vice President of Corporate Communications for Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. in Kahului. She was the first Director of Marketing for the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
