The J. Walter Cameron Center is a centralized location where many health and human service agencies share space and offer their services to the people of Maui.
Six individual buildings linked by a common roof, afford resident agencies more than 43,000 square feet of space for health education, rehabilitation, day care and human service programs.
In addition, the Cameron Center:
-
Offers the use of meeting rooms and an auditorium to community groups.
-
Serves as the State’s second largest collection site for blood donations.
-
Provides start up assistance for specialized agencies (e.g., Hospice Maui, Maui Family YMCA, Maui Arts and Cultural Center (MACC).
-
Created the annual recognition award for an Outstanding Executive Director of a nonprofit organization, saluting the many contributions made by Executive Directors to their clients, agencies and the community at large.
Twenty public and private non-profit organizations call Cameron Center home. Over 200 clients are cared for daily at the facility. More than 250 community groups, ethnic clubs, government agencies, non-profit organizations and private businesses use the Center's meeting rooms during the year.
Support comes from the general public, business, trusts and foundations.
We invite you to learn about our history and get to know us better through meeting our staff and Board of Directors. You are always welcome to come visit our facilities. Tours for organizations may be arranged by calling (808) 244-5546 or email us at info@jwcameroncenter.org.
